If you’re looking for a dish that packs a punch of sweet heat, these Pineapple Habanero Shrimp Skewers are just the thing. With juicy shrimp marinated in a tangy, spicy pineapple habanero sauce, they’re perfect for a quick grill session. Serve them as a side dish, or throw them on rice or in tacos for a meal that’ll make your taste buds sing!

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs raw shrimp, deveined and peeled

  • 4 TBS Heartbeat Pineapple Habanero Sauce

  • 2 crushed garlic cloves

  • ¼ tsp sea salt

  • ¼ tsp basil

  • ¼ tsp oregano

  • 1 tsp hoisin sauce

  • 1 lemon, sliced

Directions:

  1. Prep the Shrimp: Thaw 2 lbs of raw shrimp, then peel and devein them.

  2. Marinate: In a large bowl, combine the shrimp with 4 TBS of Heartbeat Pineapple Habanero Sauce, crushed garlic, sea salt, basil, oregano, and hoisin sauce. Mix everything well, making sure the shrimp is fully coated. Cover and let the shrimp marinate in the fridge for 2 hours.

  3. Prepare the Skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 1 hour to prevent burning. If you have stainless steel skewers, you’re good to go.

  4. Grill Indirectly: Preheat your grill to 275°F. Thread the shrimp onto the skewers and cook them indirectly on the grill for about 2 minutes per side.

  5. Finish Over Direct Heat: Use a brush to coat the shrimp with the remaining marinade. Then move the skewers over direct flame, flipping them until the shrimp are cooked through and slightly charred.

  6. Serve: Let the skewers rest for 2 minutes before serving. Plate them with a slice of lemon and a bottle of Heartbeat Pineapple Habanero Sauce on the side.

Perfect as a side dish, or add them to rice or tacos for a delicious twist!
